Fun with Grandma

She can light up a room but also has the ability to pout those rosebud lips when necessary.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma came to visit and Eliz was LOVED LOVED LOVED. I had my mom and my daughter all to myself. I have dreamed of this time my entire life and it was a perfect visit. Many an hour was spent rocking. We will see if Eliz agrees to napping in her bed again.

Aunt Sara's Visit

Aunt Sara came for a visit. This was her first trip to our home which made it even more special. Eliz loved having a new play friend.

Sitting and Swimming

She is now refusing to lay down. She wants to sit cause that is what big girls do.
Jeff has started taking Eliz to swim 'lessons' on Saturday's. It is more splashing about and assuring a lovely afternoon nap for all. I have yet to see her in action but check out the suit. I can hardly stand the green frills that swish. Don't you just want to squeeze those thighs!

Passport Photo Failures

Who knows what it going on here but don't think the passport office will take this one.

Eating Failures and Success

Avocados were a failure all around... "Get this out of my mouth!" she says. We then moved on to sweet potatoes and a new feeding approach.
Place food on table and have child sloop it up.

YUM. Sort of... eating with a spoon will come next.

Eliz and Lila at 6 months

They really did have a lot to say to each other. So much fun having them born just days apart!!
Elizabeth is now 18.9 pounds and moved into 12 month old clothing. Big Girl!

Two teeth in and more coming

'Gimmie that cup... I need to suck on that cold cup... ahhh.' We can no longer drink without her going nuts. Very funny most of the time.
'OK I gotta chew on something... what is this... it is not cold but squishy is also good'

Wedding in the Methow

Valentine's weekend we went to the Methow for Ann and Kyle's wedding. It was amazing.

Our first date was actually on Valentines in 2004. After 3 years as best of friends we didn't quite know that it would end up actually being a 'date' that Valentines but here we are. Thanks to Shauna for staying with us a lending a hand.

Elizabeth loves her new saucer.  Very overstimulating.  Notice she still has her cute little ol' bald spot just like daddy!
She becomes exhausted after a long workout in her new toy saucer.
Mostly she just wants the saucer as a means to chew on things.

Eliz will spend tons of tummy time if I'm down there with her.

She still loves her bath time. Jeff has a little song he sings before her bath and she immediately smiles, squeals and giggles. (notice those thigh rolls!)

Guessing the eye color

So we have been thinking Hazel??? Would be Grandma McGregor's eye color?? Either way they are definitely big and watching everything we do. Lately she has been grabbing at our food and especially drinks.

First Snowshoe Trip!!

Look at all that snow.
Elizabeth was tucked in there warm as could be. She didn't wake for even a moment of the hike. Helped with the hat over her eyes just like it as night time. Jeff is obviously very serious about his snowshoeing.

First Holidays and growing FAST

Elizabeth's first Hanukkah with an amazing dinner cooked by Auntie Sara.
This is a picture of my genius child that is now rolling over. Yikes, I have to stop laying her on the bed and sofa. She also had her 4 month check up. She is in the 50th percentile for a 7 month old. Off the chart for her age. After all those years of oncology nursing I said I wanted a fat healthy baby!
17lbs 2 ounces, 26 1/2 inches... she was 13lbs 9 ounces, 25 inches at 2 months.
